This Privacy Policy describes how Chiffre ("we", "us", or "our") handles your personal information and data when you use our mobile application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Chiffre is designed as a standalone utility app that does not require user registration and does not store your personal data on our servers.

1. Data Collection and Usage

Microphone Access & Speech Data

To provide the core functionality of pronunciation practice, Chiffre requires access to your device's microphone.

How we use it: We use the microphone solely to capture your voice when you actively press the "Record" button to practice French numbers.
Data Processing: The audio data is processed locally on your device and/or transmitted to Apple's Speech Recognition servers (via Apple's SFSpeechRecognizer) to convert your speech into text.
Storage: We do not save, store, or share your voice recordings. The audio data is discarded immediately after the recognition process is complete.

Personal Information

We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or location data.

2. Third-Party Services

Apple Speech Framework

We utilize Apple's native Speech framework for voice recognition. By using this feature, you agree to Apple's data processing terms regarding Siri and Dictation. Apple may process this audio data to improve their services.

3. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store user data on external servers, the risk of data breach from our side is minimal. All speech processing relies on the security of your iOS device and Apple's secure transmission protocols.

4. Your Rights (Permissions)

You have full control over the permissions granted to the app. You can revoke access to the microphone or speech recognition at any time by going to your iOS Settings > Chiffre and toggling off the switches.
